My name is Clara and I haven't ever made a blog before, so this is a new experience for me. I was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona along with my younger brother and sister. I have always loved learning in any subject, but in high school I began to learn about how the world around me works through my physics and chemistry classes and, among all the different things I was learning, those topics interested me the most. During the first year of my college experience, I thought I wanted to be a chemical engineer so I could help revolutionize the world with better machines or processes, but as I got farther and farther into the classes and was required to learn more and more advanced math, I realized that although I like math on the surface, I did not want to get as far into math as engineering would require me to. However, my struggles did not dissuade me from my love of chemistry, so I began to look around for other fields that would allow me to continue my learning process in chemistry, but wouldn't need all the math. That's when I began to think about teaching chemistry at a high school or college level. Since my love of chemistry started in high school, I am leaning towards that age group more. I'm hoping that I can instill a similar love in at least a few of my students.
