On our last day in Yangshou we knew we had to go bamboo boating, so we asked our hostel the best way and place to do that. They have a deal with a bike company, so they push for that. And I was pushing pretty hard for bikes as well...in my opinion they are the cheapest and best way to explore....anywhere! You can go as slow or as fast as you want, you can park them anywhere, and you are never in a cramped or stuffy car/bus/whatever. All the other girls enjoyed it as well, which gives me hope for renting bikes to explore our city!
Regan chose the coolest looking bike, but it cost 5RMB more (less than a dollar)
My head teacher Meagan is pretttty cool. I'm glad she's with us.
It was really good we decided on bikes. The cars were backed up for kilometers and we just whizzed past!

After waiting a couple hours we finally got some free boats to go. The drivers were very playful, yelling "hello" all the time and splashing other boats as they tried to take pictures.

There was a fish under their seat that their driver put there: they hadn't found it and freaked out yet.
Our driver was the best. He was pro at steering, really fast, and hilarious!
He even offered me a smoke, and let regan and I drive the boat for a while! (I declined the cigarette, in case you were wondering)
When we were done, we had to wait for all the other boats, but we were hungry. Some girls bought a coconut to drink, and we decided to crack it open and eat it! But now I definitely need to sharpen that knife...
